Guests Can Now Refill Their Own Beverages and How Disney is Celebrating Earth Day!

Yesterday, news got around fast when it was announced that Disney World guests can now refill their own fountain drinks again! This "rule" was put in place at Blizzard Beach in March with it's reopening, but has now spread out to all of the Disney World parks!

With our ever-fluctuating news in regards to COVID-19, it's hard to sport a break sometimes or spot a spring of hope that things are slowly but surely returning back to "normal", whether that would be a return to what we once had, or maybe a slightly new "normal". Even something as little as refilling our own drinks may brighten (or frighten) guests in regards to the pandemic status!

In other news, Walt Disney World has been presenting some news in celebration of Earth Day! They will be adding two new solar facilities to Central Florida, and once finished will produce about 40% of it's annual energy consumption along with its two other facilities!

Because Earth Day just also happens to be Animal Kingdom's birthday, a few new items have been spotted to celebrate its exciting 23 years! Pictured above is the First Magnitude Honey Bee Citrus Draft Blonde Ale, available now through April 24th for $10. According Disney Food Blog, it is "the PERFECT beer to sip in the spring, and we loved the honey flavors combined with the citrus"!

New merchandise has also been spotted in Animal Kingdom with the newest addition from the Stitch Crashes The Lion King collection, and to some people, he appears very frightening. (Personally I think he's a very uniquely colored little Stitch who probably likes hugs just as much as anyone!) Pictured to the left of this controversial Stitch are the Magic in the Stars Brother Bear Pin and a Mushu Pin, which are brand new!

So if you're heading out to Disney soon, enjoy filling your drink yourself, and maybe grab one of these new limited time items!
