Two weeks ago, my best friend and I set out on our own Disney trip, and during that trip we stayed 5 nights at a fan-favorite Disney Value Resort, Pop Century!

Upon arriving at the resort via Disney's Magical Express, we headed to the front desk to check-in (although you can check-in with the My Disney Experience app) and store our luggage for the day. Luckily enough, they actually found us a room right away around 10 in the morning!

We stayed in the 80s section of the resort, which is about a 10-minute walk from the restaurant (Everything Pop Shopping and Dining), shops, arcade, the front desk, and all the buses. It was around a 5-minute walk to the Skyliner. We also had one of the three pools right outside our room, but the Hippie Dippy Pool is right next to the front. The room itself was wonderful! Our room had one of the pull-down beds along with a queen. I slept on the pull-down, while my friend slept on the queen, and both were very comfortable! Not pictured is the bathroom, with a waterfall type shower head. The room also had plenty of drawers, a desk, a flat-screen TV, and coffee maker. Pictured above, if you were to not use the pull-down bed, it can act as a desk with two chairs.

My friend and I ate breakfast at Everything Pop Dining every morning, and you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu! Pictured above is the Waffle Bounty Platter for $11.29. Lots of food for a pretty decent price! HOWEVER, I don't recommend eating dinner here. My friend and I decided to try some of the dinner options here (the burger and the pasta), and neither of them were great, especially for the price. The Tie-Dye Cheesecake was delicious though! We also ordered the Mickey Cupcake Cookies 'n Cream, and that was also scrumptious! Mobile ordering was especially simple, and the quick-service restaurant is not very crowded during the 8-10 am rush hour.
My friend and I's flight had been canceled the day before we were supposed to leave, and we couldn't get another flight until 2 days later! What to do! We called the front desk at 1 in the morning, and were able to schedule another night at the resort. They were very accommodating and even were able to have us stay in the same room for that extra night!
Getting on a bus to the parks was a breeze! They always had buses quickly coming at every one of the park bus stops. The Skyliner, however, proved to be slightly difficult in regards to crowd level considering they are not offering bus service to Hollywood Studios and Epcot via bus service. If you wanted to go to either of those, you also had to get in line again for your park of choice after stopping at the Skyliner hub, Caribbean Beach. This will add an extra 15-20 minutes before your estimated arrival at said park, fyi. Those things, I will say, are still pretty fun and a totally different experience than a bus ride!
I'd say our room and experience at Pop Century was worth the price of $220 a night. Everything was very simple and reliable, the room clean and food good. I would definitely stay there again, and you should too!
