New Character Names Announced For Disney’s Hollywood Studios Parking Lots!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Change is a constant, and with the magic and imagination of Disney, change is exciting. On May 1, 2019, Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrates 30 years in The Walt Disney World Resort. The 30th year may be the best year so far.

We announced that the first phase of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will debut on August 29, 2019. After that, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction will open in fall of 2019. The fun will when the second phase of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Rise of the Resistance will open late 2019. If you missed all the details, watch the video below for all your Galaxy’s updates!

If that’s not exciting enough, get ready for another fun change: the names of the parking lots will now have a touch of character. On March 19th, the parking sections of Disney’s Hollywood Studios will change. The old studio related lot names, which included Stage, Television, Film and Music are

being replaced with character names. The lots will feature the names of characters currently featured or soon to be featured in the park. These include: Mickey, Minnie, Jessie, Buzz, Olaf and

BB-8. Those arriving by bus from one of the Walt Disney World Resorts will also soon have a new experience as two additional bus loops will debut at the park. Of course, later this year, the highly anticipated Disney Skyliner will add yet another way for guests to travel between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot as well as select value resort hotels.
