Are you ready to experience what it is like to live in a galaxy far far away? Disney has recently announced that reservations for the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, will be open later this year. This is not just a hotel, but it is an experience unlike any other. You don’t just walk into the lobby and asked to be checked in like any other average hotel. This is a chance to be able to live your own Star Wars experience on a star cruiser.
At the start of your adventure, you will arrive at the terminal to be transported into what looks like a launch pod, which will take off into the galaxy. As you are being transported, you will be able to look out the window and see your ship, The Halcyon, floating amongst the stars. Your pod will then dock and your pod door will open up to the core of the ship, The Atrium. This is where the crew and passengers will start their adventure among the Galactic Starcruiser.
The cabins can hold up to five people and have a beautiful view of space from the large “window”. There are plenty of things to do onboard as well. You will be able to test your lightsaber skills so you can follow in the footsteps of the Jedi, you can be invited to the bridge of the ship to demonstrate your navigation and defense skills, and you could also have a chance to pilot the Galactic Starcruiser itself. On top of that, you will be able to relax in the Silver C lounge after a long day of exploration.
The actual experience will not be open until 2021 and is only exclusive to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Star Wars is a very hot topic in the world of Disney right now. With the recent release of “The Rise of Skywalker”, “The Mandolorian”, and the soon to be released season 7 of “The Clone Wars”, it is hard to talk about Disney without mentioning the Star Wars franchise. Not to mention, Disney just recently opened the immersive in-park land “Galaxy’s Edge” featuring Star Wars landmarks and attractions like no other.
Who knows what ideas Disney will come up with next to bring Star Wars to life. With the opening of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in our near future, it is a matter of time before we will get to live amongst the galaxy, we all grew up to love.
