With Disney announcing back in January that the Jungle Cruise would be reimagined to include more cultural diversity and a new story line, changes were starting to happen almost as soon as it was announced!

Pictured above is an example of some of the new lore we will find in the ride featuring a new character, Alberta Falls. Also mentioned in this lore is a more prominent mentioning of S. E. A., otherwise known as the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, that interconnects characters from various rides and various Disney parks around the world! (making us Disney nerds VERY excited about this update!)

An example of the changes already happening in Disney World's Jungle Cruise includes the iconic rhino pole being removed as of today (April 15th)! We've taken and look and seen earlier that the rhino pole is to be one of the new reimagined portions of the ride to include more diversity.

Along with the pole being removed, Trader Sam was also removed a few weeks ago. No longer can you take advantage of his fantastic deal and snag two of his heads for one of yours! There has been no word on the return of Trader Sam, and it is implied he is being removed permanently as part of the update.
All-in-all, this update should be an interesting one, and we'll keep you posted on any other updates regarding the Jungle Cruise and anything else at the Disney parks!
